I am a foreigner in oversea now. I had transfered the balance back to my country in 2015. Recently, I got the notice to inform the overdrawn in BankWest account to charge of maintenance fee and debit interest. I have no idea about this. The Bankwest account is long time no use. How can I solve this and close the account? Is it possible to get the help in Chinese?

Hi @YENs, thanks for your enquiry. If your account wasn't closed prior to your departure, maintenance fees will continue to accrue on the open account if the minimum deposit requirements are not met (depending on the account type this is). For security reasons via the Forum I am unable to view the account, however to discuss this further, or to arrange to have the account closed, you will need to speak with our Contact Centre. You can login to your Online Banking from a PC (this would still be active) and select the "Chat Now" button at the bottom of your screen between 7am – 6pm AWST Monday – Friday for assistance with this. Alternatively, you can call our Contact Centre on +61 8 9486 4130 from overseas. This is a Reverse Charges Number, however as you would need to contact the International Operator in the country you are in, I am unable to advise if there would be any charges applied by the local or international telephone company for contacting the operator.
