can letters be stopped saying accounts opened?

When I open an account with the bank in addition to it being visible in my PAN. I also get an email and then a week later a letter in the post. Is it possible for these letters to be stopped? As they are not required and I don't like to have an account number visible in a letter sitting in the letter box. This could enable people to steal my identity.
Prefer not to receive them in future as notified already...

Hi @Dazza,  at Bankwest we ask our customers to be very security conscious, especially by not doing things like, giving out your PINs, secure code or cards. However your account number is something that you're able to give out as it's a way for others to transfer into your accounts. Your account number would not be a security question we would ask you when identify you and is something that you can provide to others.

Thanks for taking the time to let me know your feedback in regards to the new account email and letters. I'll make sure I pass this onto our New Accounts team to discuss and look into.
