I transferred money to an account where the digits had 00 and then 6 numbers and however when i typed it in and sent the payment, the receipt does not show the 00 and only the 6 numbers. Why would this be? And if it has been sent to the wrong account is it possible to get the funds back?

Hi @b3n2knw, great question.
Generally speaking, an account with a '0' at the start is usually used to ensure that an account number meets the minimum digit requirement. For this reason, the 0(s) will drop off prior to the transfer being finalised.
If for any reason the funds do not arrive to the intended recipient within 3 business days, or are not returned to you within the same time frame, you can certainly contact Bankwest to request that we attempt a recall. You'd just need to call our Contact Centre on 13 17 19, or select the "Message us Now" button within your Online Banking.
