Hi @MartheB, this is not currently something we offer, however I have passed on your feedback to our team to look into.

So has any progress been made on this from Bankwest? It is a feature that customers have been asking for quite some time now, and I can’t imagine it would be very hard to implement. I am actually considering looking to move my mortgage elsewhere so that I can access this feature.

Hi @ShaunP, whilst this isn't yet a feature that's been implemented, I can assure you we're passing on your feedback and looking into this.

It might interest you to know, that if you have a Complete Package Home Loan you can have up to 9 Offset Transaction accounts linked to your home loan. If you're not a packaged customer, our Easy Transaction account doesn't have a monthly maintenance fee, and you can have up to 9 of these. These can be opened online in a matter of minutes via this link.

If you'd like to open new Offset Transaction accounts, please pop through an email to forum@bankwest.com.au including your full name, best contact number and current location so that we can arrange for a specialist from our Customer Connect Team to give you a call and discuss the new accounts.

Thank you.

That’s a piece of information I’d have loved to have known sooner @DanaeC.

Do BWA’s systems have a process to simply change the product type of an existing transaction account? (to avoid getting new account numbers, changing transfers, and the like)

Hey @thewinchester, apologies if this has been missed.

Generally speaking, we're able to action an account conversion, which means your account type changes, but you can keep your existing BSB and Account number, cards etc. There are terms and conditions which need to be met - for example the original account needs to be "1 to operate", and can't be part of a packaged product.

This can be done either via Online Messaging or over the phone, 24/7. If you'd like to take a look at all of your banking in more detail, I'd be happy to arrange for one of our specialists to give you a call. Just pop through your contact details to Forum@Bankwest.com.au.

Thanks!
