Red tape in reseting online password

Hallo;

 

I require assistance in resetting my online password.

 

I contacted the support line a week ago to get this done but I was informed that my new contact number had not been registered in bankwest (this was a shock to me as I had done this last year during my travels).

 

After the update the agent informed me that it would not be possible to reset the password at the moment due to security features as a result of change in contact information. I was ok with then. The frustrating part is that I have been calling daily to get my password reset and I keep being told the same thing, " we call  not do that today try another time". The last support agent told me to try after a week.

 

What is this surely? Who willingly locks people out of there account for weeks on end without caring of there urgencies or responsibilities all in the name of security.

 

All in all I need help urgently please. Thanks.
