I'm trying to transfer money from an American account and it's asking for Bank Wesr Routing Number and Account Number. What is the Routing Number? Assuming the account number is my own. Thanks

Hi @Erica56458, thanks for your question! We don't use a routing number here in Australia as we have BSB's - so it's likely you will need to enter your BSB in this field.

Generally to send funds to Australia you will need the Bankwest SWIFT code also which is BKWAAU6P. Thanks!

That's right @Matt717 - the SWIFT Code is also known as a BIC. In Australia we don't use a routing number as Lynds has mentioned - we use BSB's. Where this is required, you may also be asked for a Sort Code, ABA (or routing Number), or a Bank/Branch Code. Hope this helps.

Hello!  I had a similar situation last year (on a business trip).  I wanted to transfer money, but I did not know the routing number of my bank.  I did not contact the bank because it is very long, but I learned the number of the bank’s routing on the Internet (website: https://rtn.one/).

That's quite a handy site there @artemgorelov10! We would just always suggest confirming with the bank prior, just to ensure that the information is correct and up to date Smiley Happy
