Frozen Account

Why has my account been frozen? I’ve had the account for four years opened in branch. I wasn’t sent a letter/email to ask to identify myself. So strange my last purchase out of the account was a car if you didn’t know who I was why would you release so much money. Only found out my account was frozen when I went to use money POOR FORM! I apparently have to take a day off work to go into branch to verify who I am again after years of banking. I will be going in branch but to close my account what a joke!
