I have broken up with my ex few months ago and we have a joint account together. We are about to do the settlement and i have found that he has took $36,000 ( consisting 3 separate cash withdrawal at the branch and 2 internet banking) out of the joint account without my knowledge. (This is the only thing i let him to handle ... obviously it was a huge mistake!!)
I called the 13 17 18 number and the guy told me that they do not have any records of the cash withdrawal and the other 2 internet banking transactions can be found from the online banking. (unfortunately the online banking only shows record back to 01/01/2015 the oldest)
As far as i know, you have to present your ID when withdrawing the cash from the branch therefore there should be record of which account holder has done the wthdrawal and one of the branch manager has confirm that with me.
Now i dont know what i can do, the branch manager asked me to call the 131718 number and the call centre asked me to go to the branch which i have done it for 3 times already. It is $36,000 so it would affact my settlement for sure and my ex will rip me off even further if i cannot find the record to prove that he was the one who withdrew the money... HELP !!!!!!!! ....
