I did a bank transfer on the 13th of August. From my NAB account. Should my funds be in my BankWest account by now or is it normal to still be waiting ?

Hi @GB, a transfer coming from another bank can take up to 3 business days. As the 13th of August was a Saturday, it's likely that the other bank would process the transaction today. It's likely that you should receive the funds into your Bankwest account by Wednesday. We credit funds to customers accounts on the same business day that we receive them. Why does the bank not just let the payments through automatically? I can't understand the delay, it's electronic yet we wait. Hubby transferred to me on Friday, I'm still waiting. He often transfers and it normally is there within hours. Is there an actual reason for the "business hours only" delay?

Hi @Helly, hopefully the funds will be there ASAP. You can view a post I did awhile bank on Bank to Bank transfers which might help explain why this is currently not instant to tranfer between banks. https://forum.bankwest.com.au/t5/Everyday-Banking/Transfer-money-to-and-from-Bankwest/td-p/326
