Trouble with changing phone number

Hello,

So I recently ordered a new card, and during that phone call, the lady changed my old number to my new one. However, she must have heard me wrong, as the SMS code for my card activation is going to the wrong number. I was told that I cannot change my number unless I go into store as it is considered a “high risk”, but that is extremely hard for me at the moment. I was wondering how long I have to wait to change my number  over the phone so that I am no longer considered a high risk, thanks!!
