My husband and I have booked return overseas airfares in excess of $500 and we are looking at booking a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise. We are planning to fly from New York to Miami where the cruise departs from, 6 hours prior to the cruise departing. As we hold a Platinum Bankwest Credit Card, we'd like to know if we will be covered for; medical expenses while on board, lost luggage, missed cruise due to flight delay etc?

Hi @Rtomerini, that sounds like an amazing trip!
It would be best to speak with Allianz Global Assist regarding the terms - though Bankwest provide the insurance, Allianz underwrite the policy and will be able to confirm exactly what you are and are not covered for. Providing you have spent at least $500 of pre-paid travel expenses on the card, and have a return airfare before leaving then you should be eligible for the Travel Insurance.
This being said, a Cruise usually falls under the "Special Event" category in the Terms and Conditions. Page 31 of the Complimentary Credit Card Insurance booklet outlines the Summary of Benefits, though Allianz will be able to outline this in more detail if required. You can reach them on 1800 010 075, and can view the Insurance Booklet here.
