We’ve had feedback from some customers that while they love Easy Alerts in the Bankwest App, they're being woken up by some alerts that come through in the early hours of the morning. These are usually our Account Deposit alerts notifying you that your pay has come in, and as it is real time, this is exactly when the alert is sent!
While we would love to change the time that the alerts are sent, things start to get a bit tricky given the time difference between the east and west coast, and we also have our customers overseas to consider.
Instead, there is a simple solution that you can follow to make sure you aren’t woken up again. Both iPhones and Android phones support a ‘Do Not Disturb’ feature that will silence all unknown callers and app notifications, while still allowing your family and friends to contact you.
For iOS:
Settings > Do Not Disturb
Enable Scheduled > Set your preferred times
Then customise Allows Calls From and enable Repeated Calls and you are set!
For Samsung/Android phones:
Settings > Sound and Vibration > Do Not Disturb
Enable as scheduled > Set your preferred times
Allow exceptions > Custom – Allow repeat callers and enable calls and messages from contacts are enabled.
You're all set!
