ATM malfunction

I have not received any contact from Bankwest after reporting a malfunctioning ATM. The ATM closed down and did not issue the money. Why does it take so long to sort this out?

Forgot to add they debited my account and I am waiting for a refund

Hi @Newman, thanks for contacting us in regards to this, for security reasons we can't access or discuss any personal account information over Facebook, so we'd need to speak with you over the phone on 13 17 19 or via live chat to look into this. You can access live chat during WA business hours by logging into online banking using a computer and selecting "Chat to us now".

I have submitted the necessary forms re the disputed ATM usage at my local branch the following day (3rd Oct). They informed me this ATM will be checked and the issue resolved in 21 days. I have called the 131719 to be told that it is 21 to 45 days to check an ATM. I still have heard NOTHING from the bank of the year. I know it is only $900 and not important to the bank but I would like my money back. Seriously one and half months to check if an ATM is working ok?
