Hi,

I am wondering why I only see the interest debited from my home loan and not the principal? I am always curious as to how much I have paid off the home loan however looking at my statements I cannot find where the principal is.

Ant help would be great! Thank you

Hi @AlissaW, you can calculate the principle portion of your loan repayments by taking the debit interest from your minimum monthly repayment.

The reason the principle portion isn't shown on your statement, is because its a reduction of the loan limit, not a debit from the available balance. I'm very sorry for any trouble this may cause.

If you're ever unsure of the principle amount, please click the 'Message us now' button located to the bottom of your online banking screen, or the 'Ask us' button if using our app. Our Online Messaging Team are available at any time to assist.
