Home loan, what is a dependent?

We're looking at applying for pre approval for a home loan and wanted to check what the definition of a dependent is. My wife and I have one child together, and my wife has another daughter who lives with us. If I apply in my name only, what is the correct number of dependents? Assumption if we apply in joint names both children would be treated as dependents.

Hi @Evan, if your wifes daughter is living with you and you're both supporting her she would also be classified as a dependant Smiley Happy
