hi I would like to clarify that to be eligible for insurance cover overseas with the platinum mastercard the purchase of $500 or over, is there specific items or types of purchases required. Can it be separate transactions that add up to $500 or does it have to be in one transaction.
We have already purchased flight tickets via our other account with bankwest.

Hi @fdarruzza, thanks for your enquiry. Providing that you have spent at least $500 of pre-paid travel expenses, and have a return airfare before departing, you should be covered. However, the best people to speak with about the complimentary insurance on your credit card, are the providers Allianz Global Assist. Their number is 1800 785 918. This is because although Bankwest provide the insurance, Allianz are the underwriters of the policy and therefore will be able to confirm that you have met the criteria, and advise exactly what will be counted. Thanks!
