I am extremely disappointed and very concerned about the length of time it takes Bankwest to resolve transaction disputes.
Whilst in the UK in June I attempted to use a bank ATM to withdraw British Pounds and the ATM failed to dispense the cash. Bankwest removed the money from my account within seconds.
I returned to Australia and filed a dispute form to be told that the foreign bank has upto 45 days to respond. Whilst that is going on Bankwest provides no updates and has to be chased every month, only to provide a generic and unreassuring answer.
I'm now going to be moving my banking elsewhere, having been a customer of Bankwest for around ten years or more.
