I`m planning a trip to Vanuatu. Could you please advice which card is better to use to obtain cash? My normal debir card or my platinum mastercard?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi @orunix, sounds amazing!

This is completely up to you - it's just best to be across any applicable fees. Whilst the 2.95% Foreign Transaction Fee is waived on any Platinum Tier MasterCard Credit Card product, this will still apply to the MasterCard Debit and Platinum Debit Cards linked to a transactional account. There is also a $5.00 Overseas ATM Fee for each withdrawal made from a Debit MasterCard (charged as a lump sum on the first business day of the following month), however this is waived on both the Qantas and Rewards Transaction accounts.

Withdrawals from a Credit Card will attract a $4.00 or 2% Cash Advance Fee, whichever is higher. However, if you deposit funds into the card, over and above the card limit, then only the $4.00 Cash Advance Fee would apply. No interest would accrue on amounts over the card limit also.
