Hi. I want to transfer about $5000 USD from a stock broker in the US. They are insisting that I must provide an intermediary bank in order to do the transfer. It seems the 5th and 6th characters of the SWIFT code must be US so I can't just provide the BankWest SWIFT code.
Does BankWest work with an intermediary bank that would serve this purpose? Is there any way of finding out what the fees would be to do this transfer?

Hi @ROrange, if the company are not accepting the Bankwest SWIFT code, the funds would not be able to be sent to a Bankwest account as this is needed for any international transfers.
As there isn't just one intermediary bank used for international transfers this may depend on which bank the stock broker is sending the funds from. It may be best to check with them.
