Insurance on debit card?

Posted by Becca Becca

Hi,

I recently booked some accomodation in Bali with my Bankwest visa debit card. Tiger airways have cancelled all flights to Bali, and now I am unable to go. The hotel won't give me a refund for the accomodation.

Is there any insurance with this card? Is the bank able to cover any of the cost?

Thank-you

Hi @Becca, I'm really sorry to hear this. Whilst our Bankwest Debit MasterCards do not offer any insurance, we still may be able to look at disputing the accommodation charge for you, as a "Goods Not Received" option. You can download a Transaction Dispute Form via the link below, and send back to us via the Post, Fax, or BankMail (through the "Message Centre" tab of your Online Banking).

Hope this helps.
