How to Send money home?

I'm currently living in the UK and I want to send some money home for when I return. Which is the best way to do that to get the most for my money? Through my banks (Barclays or Santander) or through someone else?

Hi @Mattgrylls2, thanks for your enquiry in regards to sending money back to your account in Australia. You'll need to do an international money transfer from your current bank and supply them with your BSB and account number plus the Bankwest SWIFT code which is: BKWAAU6P

@PeteW has done a quick post with our SWIFT code so you can find this easily in the future by typing in the seach bar 'SWIFT'.

I'd also just like to remind you that there may be fees and charged to send money back to Australia from your current bank and there is a $10 inward payment fee to recieve funds in your Bankwest account from overseas. If you need any further help please just let me know Smiley Happy

Thanks for your reply but is going through my bank going to get me more Aussie dollars for my pounds and less fees then companies that are specialists at international transfers?

While we can certainly assist you in any questions you have about your Bankwest account @Mattgrylls2, we can't comment on any other banks policies or other companies. It may be best to contact your overseas banks to check their processes with them.
