2 questions:

1. If I withdraw cash in Thai Baht in Thailand, what fees will I incur?

2. Where is the currency exchange rate published in the Bank West website?

Hi @tracylee, thanks for your enquiry.

This is dependant on the type of card you're using. There is a 2.95% Foreign Transaction fee charged for each purchase and/or withdrawal on a Debit MasterCard overseas, regardless of whether this is done with the card being present, or not (ie an online purchase, or an in-app purchase in a foreign currency). This also applies to MasterCard Credit Cards, however is waived on the Platinum and World Tiers.

An overseas ATM fee of $5.00 per withdrawal will also apply, charged on the first business day of each month. However, this fee is waived on the Qantas Transaction and Rewards Transaction accounts. The 2.95% Foreign transaction fee will still apply on any international transaction using a Debit MasterCard.

We use the MasterCard International Exchange Rate for our cards, so you'll need to take a look on their website to confirm what the rate of the day is.

You'll find some information on overseas fees, as well as tips on how to use your card overseas by clicking here.

Hope this helps, have a great trip!
