Hi @KPreece, I hope it was a REALLY good Hot Chocolate!
In some cases, vending machine merchants will actually charge you the full amount of the highest priced item in the machine until they can reconcile with their bank - this actually happened to me recently!
I made a purchase on my card at a vending machine, where the most expensive item was $7.00 AUD. This amount was held in authorisation, as well as the $2.80 for the item I had purchased. After 7 business days (which is the standard time frame for an "Authorisation Only" transaction) the $7.00 was removed automatically, and the $2.80 cleared.
That being said, it is definitely something we can take a look at for you, and dispute the difference if need be. Whilst we can't view your account(s) via the Forum, if you can log in to Online Banking and select "Message us Now" from a PC, our Online Team would be happy to take a look at the transactions for you, and are available 24/7. Alternatively if you can't access Online Banking, you can give us a buzz at any time on +61 8 9486 4130 from a landline overseas.
This is a 24/7 reverse charges number, though as you would need to contact the International Operator in the country you are in, I am unable to advise if there would be any charges applied by the local or international telephone company for contacting the operator.
I hope this helps, let me know if you need any further info.
