Hi Pete, thank you for your message. I ended up using the secure message through Online Banking. It is just to query if payments from our credit card that are currentlly waiting authorisation that were made prior to us stopping our lost credit card would still go through or not or will the receipients need another credit card to process their payment. We had a purchase to a hotel overseas and was wondering if they may send us a bill in the post if they cannot process the payment?

OK great. Well the team that respond to the BankMail messages will be able to go into more detail with you as they can look at your accounts (while I can't).
But generally speaking, if the transaction is still showing 'Authorisation Only' and the card has been cancelled in the meantime, the transaction is unlikely to go through. In this case the business will contact you to complete the transaction. You'll be able to confirm whether or not the business received your original payment/transaction simply by viewing your statement balance. But of course, if you have any concerns about this, just give us a call and we can confirm to avoid you paying them twice.
