To understand the fees you incur for transactions that are charged to your card in a foreign currency (known as Foreign transaction fee), consult the Rates and Fees page for your specfic product.

For a number of Bankwest product, this fee is usually 2.95% of the converted AUD value. This fee doesn't change by currency the transaction was incurred in, or how the payment was made (Tap to pay, Android Pay, or using Physical card).

For example, if your transation after conversion from a foreign currency cam to AUD 100.00, and the Foreign transaction fee on your account was 2.95%, you would incur a fee of AUD 2.95.

There are some products, like the Platinum and World Rewards Credit Card, and the Qantas Platinum and World Mastercard, where these fees aren't charged.
