Searching and posting new questions

After some great feedback from @cgm recently (Thanks!) and analysing the performance of the Bankwest Forum to date, we’ve made a couple of small but helpful changes to make it easier for you to find the info you’re after as quickly as possible. It’ll also help reduce the amount of duplicate questions in the Forum, which often make it harder and slower to find answers.

Search first!

Start by asking your question in the search box above – just like you would on Google. If relevant info already exists on the Forum, we’ll suggest it to you. This is the quickest way to get help.

The change: Previously the search box read ‘Search for answers’, it now says ‘Search for answers here first’.

Didn’t find it? Ask a new question.

Once you’ve tried searching for answers you may find the info isn’t in the Forum yet, so it’s a great opportunity for you to create a new post. Do this by selecting the orange ‘Ask A New Question’ button on the right of every page.

The change: When you start typing the title of your question into the ‘Enter a subject’ field, we’ll now suggest existing content to you. Previously we didn’t do this so if you forgot to search first, we were finding duplicate questions being asked.

So thanks again to @cgm for the feedback – we’re happy to make changes, big or small, to help make the Forum and banking with Bankwest easier whenever we can.

Is any of your data pointing to it working @PeteW?

There still seems to be a lot of duplicate questions being asked. Smiley Surprised

Good question @cgm. I like to get 2 weeks behind us before getting into analysis mode so once that happens I'll let you know if some of the indicators are looking positive.
