Unfortunately, I can't verify my email address with the forum - the email request never comes through. I checked with my ISP server logs, and the cause is that the forum confirmation has a sender of "email@example.com" which is not a valid email address (since theforum.bankwest.com.au has no DNS record).
I imagine I'm not the only one who never see emails from this non-existant sender. It would be nice if you could fix it to a legitimate email address(even though presumably it would be an unread email address).

Hi @peternlewis, we are aware that this is an issue for some users and have passed on your feedback - really sorry for any inconvenience. In the meantime if there is perhaps a different/secondary email address you hold, you can try using this in place of the current address used, as you may find it will be accepted.
