Can you please advise if x1 person can be removed from a joint account.

recently separated so would like to remove my name from the joint account, however do not want to close the account as so many direct debits come from it including mortgage etc.

is it possible to remove 1 person without having to close it, how do i go about this?

Hi @cheekyelf, thanks for contacting us in regards to this. If the account is in joint names, we're unable to remove one party, so you would need to close the account and arrange for accounts in separate names to be opened in it's place. I'm sorry that this isn't the answer you wanted to hear.
