Thanks alot Bankwest. For over 10 years I have been a loyal customer. Not anymore.
I have a 3 week old baby sitting here in a wet nappy, and you can't tell me when I will get my money to go and buy some more.
My mother in law had a major stroke stroke this morning and my husband had to leave home in a hurry, forgetting to leave me money. No worries, I will transfer some money from my parents. They regularly send me money due to our business arrangements and Every time they transfer before 2pm, the money is in my account by 4.45pm. Not today. Bankwest can't tell me where my money is, and when I can go and get my baby nappies, and there answer is to track down a Salvation Army that can help........ Even though it will take me 3 hours to get to one. I have noone nearby to help, because the people I would normally go to if this happened are with my husband keeping a bedside vigual over there mother.
In over 10 years of transferring money between my parents and myself this has never happened. They can't even give me $20 to buy nappies for my baby, just tell me to wait. They say they make the money available as soon as they get it, this is not true.....my husband and I work for the same company, and his wages are in the bank at 1pm, with a credit union and mine takenuntil 4.45.
Im sick of bankwest holding my money, and not being prepared to help out. I guess I will end up at the hospital tonight with a sick baby or begging for nappies, all because these people want to play the markets with my money.
After 10 years of loyalty, I will be closing my account as soon as I can get to another bank to open an account.

Hi @Nothappy, I'm sorry to hear of your situation, and I'd really like to look into this further. I can let you know that we certainly do process funds to accounts as soon as we receive them, however depending on where the funds are coming from the can take 1-3 business days to be received. While funds do sometimes come through sooner, we can't guarantee this will always be the case. For security reasons we can't access or discuss any personal account information over Facebook, so I'm unable to see your accounts.

I appreciate your response, however, I have already been on the phone for 30 minutes tonight to be told it's not the banks problem. My baby is lying in his cot with a towel as a makeshift nappy!
I understand that transfers CAN take time, however in 10 years it has ALWAYS come through at 4.45pm.
All I can do is wait until the money comes through and put my baby in the car in the middle of the night to buy nappies. Either that or neglect my child.
