I just transferred money from an external bank account (prepaid mastercard) to a Bankwest Account Number that is one digit wrong from the desired account (sent to account number ending in 8 instead of 3). I've contacted Mastercard Support who said they'll try to adjust/stop the transfer. Is there anything Bankwest can do at all to stop the transfer before it hitting the incorrect account if Mastercard can't stop it?

Hi @benjya85, for security reasons we can't confirm if an account number exists or not, without speaking to the account holder. The best course of action is to allow MasterCard to request a recall of funds. If however the account number you entered is not a valid account number, the funds will bounce back to the original account usually within a week.
