Systems outage notification 4/7

We're aware of a technical issue affecting some ATM and EFTPOS transactions, as well as logging in to the Bankwest App, online banking and accessing our website.

We're investigating this as our highest priority and will update you with any new updates. We apologise for the inconvenience.

We're continuing to work on the issues affecting the systems listed earlier.

•For our customers making payments in shops, ie. using EFTPOS, please try inserting or swiping your card as this should allow you to make your payment.

•If you need access to cash, you can visit a Bankwest Store and withdraw your money over the counter. This can not be done in a Neighbourhood Bank.

 

We'll provide updates as soon as soon as they're available with the next update at 12.45 WST regardless of the status.

Unfortunately we're continuing to experience the issue affecting some of our systems and customers.

To add to the alternative solutions we suggested earlier, we're extending the trading hours for some of our stores to help make it easier to visit them and withdraw cash after some of our customers finish work and other commitments.

VIC - Fountain Gate 6pm EST
VIC - Watergardens 6pm EST
VIC - Bourke St 6pm EST
QLD - Queen Street Mall 6pm EST
QLD - Northlakes 6pm EST
QLD - Helensvale 6pm EST
NSW - Hornsby 6pm EST
NSW - Burwood 6pm WST
NSW - Parramatta 6pm EST
NSW - Liverpool 6pm EST

We'd like to reiterate that customer funds and data are secure.

We understand the frustration this is causing and we continue to try to resolve this as quickly as possible

4:20pm WST Update

 

We're progressing with restoring our systems and we're seeing customers successfully transacting on ATMs, EFTPOS, Bankwest App, online banking, and accessing the Bankwest website. We're continuing to work on this issue including testing and monitoring before confirming our systems have returned to normal. Please stay tuned to our Facebook page.

Our systems continue to perform as expected meaning our customers have successfully been using ATMs, EFTPOS, the Bankwest App, online banking, and the Bankwest website again. We're continuing to monitor and test these systems and will provide another update as soon as possible.

Our systems have been restored and transactions continue to be successfully processed via ATMs, EFTPOS, the Bankwest App, online banking, and there are no issues with accessing the Bankwest website.

We'll continue to closely test and monitor all systems through the night and we'll post an update shortly after 5:00am WST.
