Money returned to my account

Last week I purchased an item online and used a bank transfer to send the payment through. This morning she contacted me saying that it hadn't gone into her account yet. I checked my account again to see that the money had actually been refunded back into my account as a 'returned item.' Why would the money have been returned back to my account? If I try to transfer the money again will the same thing happen? Thanks

Hi @Loza595, generally the reason for a funds transfer being returned is incorrect account details being entered when the transfer is made, or the details not matching the account they are going to. It's best to ask the person  you're purchasing from to double check their account number and name that they have given you before trying to make the payment again. Thanks!

Hi @Latisha, please log into your online banking. If you're unable to see the funds in the account, please click the 'Message us now' button located to the bottom of the screen, or the 'Ask us' button at the bottom of the menu in our app so we can look into this further for you.
