Left money at ATM

I (foolishly) left money at the ATM after I took my card back. Provided someone didn't come along and take it (which I know is very likely) is there a way to get the money back if the machine took it back?

Hi @Lkelman, in this case you'd need to complete and return a Transaction Dispute Form (located under General Forms). Once we receive your dispute form, we can then look into this for you.

I left $60 in a ATM at work Wednesday 15 around 5.55pm does the machine take the money back, & if so how long does it go back into the account if at all?

Sorry to hear this @Haz.

Generally speaking if the money has not been taken it would be retained in the ATM, and a transaction dispute would be required if the funds have debited your account. To initiate this, you'd just need to complete a Transaction Dispute Form and return for processing.

You can either fax the form to 1300 765 515, or post it to Bankwest: PO Box E237, Perth WA 6841. Alternatively, you can drop it into your closest Bankwest store. Whilst we don't have a centralised email address, if preferred you will be able to forward the info through BankMail, via the "Message Centre" tab of your Online Banking. It will be received by our email team, and responded to within 1 - 2 business days.

I hope this helps
