I am wishing to purchase a car for $55,000, can I use eftpos for this transaction if I have that amount in my bank account?

Hey @Lee67, thanks for getting in touch.
This would only be an option if you have a Debit Mastercard. When you select "Credit" instead of Cheque or Savings, you'll have full access to the available amount in your account. The only other thing to consider here, is if the merchant has a set floor limit. This limit being the amount of a transaction that cannot be exceeded from the merchant's side.
It is important to note though, that if you have a Credit Card account linked to the same card, selecting "Credit" will draw the funds from the Credit Card instead, and Cash Advance Fees and Interest may be applicable.
Let me know if you'd like any further assistance.
