I banked a large cheque a week ago today, and am being advised by Bankwest that it will take another 2 days to clear. THAT IS 8 BUSINESS DAYS. Your website says 3-5 business days. You are obviously getting interest on my money, because I certainly aren't...

Hi @gpmt25, the clearance time on a cheque depends on a few factors, such as the type of cheque, when and how it was deposited, and if it is in AUD or a foreign currency. To be able to clear the funds of a cheque, we rely on confirmation from the bank who issued it, without this the cheque can not be cleared.
