I have recently made a purchase and think I may have been charged twice for it. I was looking through my transaction statements and found two of the same transactions for that single purchase. Same amount withdrawn, only difference was that the second transaction said "authorisation only".
Is this a bankwest problem? Or should I contact the shop that charged me? Have I been charged twice??

Hi, the transaction was a local one.
I have contacted the shop and they have confirmed that there is no double entry for the transaction on their end so I guess it must be a bankwest issue

Hi @luciandreoni, this actually happened to me recently!
I made a purchase on my card at a vending machine, where the most expensive item was $7.00. This amount was held in authorisation, as well as the $2.80 for the item I had purchased. After 7 business days (which is the standard time frame for an "Authorisation Only" transaction) the $7.00 was removed automatically, and the $2.80 cleared.
