I am so over Bank West right now, I am seriously considering refinancing to one of the many other banks out there as there is a lot of choice for a much lower interest rate on our home loan, and even more likely to do so now and move all our banking elsewhere, I am literally 5 minutes walk from a 7-11 and a 20 minutes drive in quite traffic to a CBA, we have been given no notice what so ever that we are to be charged to now use 7-11 cash machines, no information on the Bank West page it’s a joke, social media is massive these days so you could have very easily put this out there to let people know, rather than them just finding out when they go to a 7-11, I will be airing my views to social media and warning people of this change so they are not charged also.

Hi @Sarahjane1972, really appreciate you taking the time to send this feedback through and I hope I can help find alternative solutions for you today.
Whilst Bankwest has decided to end its 11 year relationship with the 7-Eleven convenience store chain, it's important to note that our customers can still use any Bankwest or Commonwealth Bank's ATMs free of charge, and can also withdraw cash without incurring a fee at any ATM owned and operated by ANZ, NAB or Westpac and their subsidiaries.
If this is not convenient or close by, we do also offer a Bank @ Post facility at Australia Post outlets, where you can perform the following:
•EFTPOS / cash withdrawals up to $1000.00, selecting cheque / savings from your card. (Fees may apply, these fees are located in your product disclosure statement)
•Cash and cheque deposits, selecting cheque / savings from your card (up to $6000 maximum cash deposit limit)
•An account balance upon request
•Customer identification checks for credit cards, Telenet and Kids Bonus Saver account applications, once the appropriate documentation has been provided to you by Bankwest.
In relation to your home loan interest rate, this is certainly something that we can look into. Please pop me through an email to Forum@Bankwest.com.au with your full name, Forum username and contact number, and we will be in contact within the next 1 - 2 business days.
Was this helpful? Then give it 'Kudos'!

I just got caught out by this and I'm particularly angry about it also. I received no notice of the change despite having used 7-11 ATMs almost exclusively over the past few years due to their convenience
I called to enquire about the change and was condescendingly told the change was communicated on the Bankwest website - but now that I'm on a computer looking for it, where is it?!
Certainly not anywhere on the home page, or under the media announcements section: https://www.bankwest.com.au/about-us/media-centre/news
..or anywhere in Bankwest's Learn section, which supposedly helps customers maked informed and sensible financial decisions: https://www.bankwest.com.au/personal/learn
Google yielded a single result from the AFR (probably inaccessible by those without an AFR account) but nothing from Bankwest's own site.
I think it's time to vote with my feet. Bankwest could have easily pulled a report of any customer who's used a 7-11 ATM more than x times in the past year and sent them a notification of this change via email, yet they chose to bury their head in the sand and hope no one would notice.

Hi @sbor90 thank you for your feedback on the way we communicated the end of our relationship with 7-Eleven. I can appreciate this is inconvenient and have passed through your feedback to the our ATM team.
You can find your closest Bankwest ATM from the link below;
As a Bankwest customer you can use any CBA, ANZ, NAB and Westpac ATMs within Australia free of charge.
