Core Banking Platform

"The bank planned to pursue further systems alignment in the coming year and migrate Bankwest accounts onto Commonwealth Bank’s new core banking platform from 2013."

Hi guys,

The old CEO Ralph Norris of the Commonwealth Bank Group had plans to move Bankwest accounts on to their ultra modern core banking platform. This added a lot of real time banking feature to CBA.

Did Ralph's vision end up happening for us Bankwest customers? If not is it still planned?

Thanks Smiley Happy

Very interesting post @EnigmaraffSmiley Very Happy

@PeteW does the information on Australia's New Payment Platform within the Why are there still payments and cut-off times? post relate to this?

While this was a strong consideration at the time, it's not a priority of ours to deliver at the moment. We do however have a strong roadmap of improvements and changes across several of our digital/online channels in the coming months and years.

@cgm referred to the payment cut-off times post, which has a bit of info on how we, along with other financial institutions, will be delivering the ability for our customers to send and receive money in near real time. This is a huge win for our customers so along with other projects, this is where a lot of our focus is.

Hope this helps!
