Hi @lenny03, thanks for your enquiry. To close your account, we can assist in a number of ways as below:
1) We can close the account via a BankMail message (through the "Message Centre" tab of your Online Banking) confirming you would like to proceed with the closure. When you do this, please ensure your account is at a $0.00 balance.
2) You're welcome to call our Help Centre on +61 8 9486 4130 from overseas. This is a Reverse Charges Number, however as you would need to contact the International Operator in the country you are in, I am unable to advise if there would be any charges applied by the local or international telephone company for contacting the operator.
3) You can use our Secure Online Chat option, through your Online Banking. Just hit the "Chat Now" button at the bottom of your screen, between 7am - 6pm AWST Monday – Friday.
4) You are also welcome to attend any of our Bankwest stores if you do find yourself back in Australia, and would prefer to close the account in person. You may find your closest store here.
