As long as you transfer only the amount available over and above the limit of the card (using your Bankwest Online Banking), you won't be charged any fees. You can view more information via this link.
There are a number of ways you can close your accounts, as below:
1) Via a BankMail request. This is located through the "Message Centre" tab of your Online Banking.
2) You are welcome to call our Contact Centre on +61 8 9486 4130* from overseas.
3) You can use our Secure Online Messaging option, also through your Online Banking. Just hit the "Message us Now" button at any time
*This is an overseas reverse charges number, however as you would need to contact the International Operator in the country you are in, I am unable to advise if there would be any charges applied by the local or international telephone company for contacting the operator.
If you do wish to close your credit card via BankMail or Online Messaging, please ensure that you advise you are overseas, and have discussed this via the Bankwest Forum.
