I just want to know whether I can deposit a cheque from a New Zealand insurance company into my Australian BankWest account, please!

Hi @lorrylees, thanks for the question! You certainly can deposit a cheque from New Zealand, providing it is made out to the same name that your account is in.

Overseas cheques can take up to 30 business days to clear into your available balance, so it's good to keep this in mind.
