Hi @vvarischetti, while there's no limit on a bank cheque, it can only be written if the funds are available in your account. There is a $10 fee to have a bank cheque written for the majority of our accounts, however if the funds are coming from a Bankwest Reward, Retirement Advantage or Teen Scheme account the fee would be $7.50. Thanks

Hey @GerardR, you certainly can Smiley Happy I just need to make you aware that there may be a Home Loan Access Fee for this, as well as a Bank Cheque Fee depending on the account type. Thanks!

Hi, there’s no BankWest near me, what’s the best way to get a bank cheque? Do I need to go into a branch? If yes, can the bank cheque be prepared on the spot? Thanks

Hi @Kate8003, thanks for your enquiry.

Whilst you will need to visit a branch to obtain a bank cheque, this can certainly be done on the spot Smiley Happy Just pop in with some photo ID - the whole process takes between 5 - 10 minutes.

Thanks!

Thanks @DanaeC, that's great to know. However, I live in Emerald in central Qld and I'm having trouble locating a bankwest branch anywhere in Qld except Brisbane. Can I go to a Commonwealth Bank to access my bankwest account and get a bank cheque? Thanks

It will need to be a Bankwest branch sorry @Kate8003, and looking it does appear that our Brisbane branch would be the closest. If you have an eligible account you will be able to order a Cheque Book if that works for you? You'd just need to give us a call on 13 17 19, or log in to your Online Banking (from a PC) and select the "Message us Now" tab to see if this is possible for your account type. For your convenience, these services are both available 24/7. Thank you.
