I am selling my car and the buyer has said they will pay by a Bankwest bank cheque.

The bank cheque value is of a very significant amount,

How can I authenticate the bank cheque on the spot?

Is there sercurity features I can check for?

Hey @baldbenny, if you'd like to check whether a bank cheque is authentic, you could arrange for the hand over to be made near your local Bankwest branch. You could then ask the teller to confirm whether it is a legitimate cheque, or the cheque could be written while you're with the buyer.

Bank cheques are more secure than normal cheques as there is a fee to both write and cancel the cheque.
