Can I please get directions on how to upgrade to Tap and go on my Lite direct account. I have previously asked and was advised to simply request a new card. I did so and was delivered a replacement card without a T &G chip. I then made the effort to go into the only branch available to me in Brisbane and asked the same question, advising the customer rep what had happened previously. The rep advised me to go online and request a new Meastercard Debit Card which I did. Imagine my surprise when I received a Bankwest mail message a day or two later advising me that the card type was no longer available.
In this day and age with more and more merchants and technology moving towards Tap and Go only it is increasingly frustrating being forced to actually find an ATM to withdraw cash and then return to the shop to complete my purchase.

Hi @bigbadroddy I'm very sorry to hear of the trouble you've had with getting a Debit Mastercard linked to your account. I can appreciate this has been incredibly frustrating.
We're unable to provide this type of card for a Lite Direct account as this is an older product we no longer offer.
If you'd like a Debit Mastercard, we'll first need to convert the account to a current product. Once you've had a look through the options on our website, log into your online banking and hit the 'Message us now' button located to the bottom of your online banking screen so we can arrange this for you. Our Online Messaging Team are available at any time for your convenience.
By converting your account you'll retain your current BSB and account details.
