Hi @cmunro2, Debit MasterCard's can be ordered for our student account or our everyday accounts. These are only available to Australian Citizens, Permanent or Temporary Residents over 16 with an Australian residential address. If you already have an account with Bankwest you can log into online banking and live chat with us (via a computer) to order a Debit MasterCard or call our team on 13 17 19.

You're in luck @cmunro2 - Bankwest does indeed offer account holders 16 years and older the ability to have a Debit Mastercard (See Section 2.1 of the Product Disclosure Statement), which offers Paywave/Paypass capability.
However, it is only the Student Account which offers this facility to people 16+. To have the Debit Mastercard on this account, you must be either an Australian Citizen, Permanent or Temporary Residents; AND over 16 years old with an Australian residential address. This is in addition to the other qualifying rules for this account, which you can find in the PDS I linked to earlier.
And if you don't already have a Bankwest account, now is a good time to open the Student Account (or upgrade it to a Debit Mastercard if you already have an account and are eligible), as if you do it on or before 28 April 2016 you'll have a chance to win one of three Apple Watch Sport devices. See this link for the T&C's.
