My Debit Card has stopped working & it's not expired

My MasterCard debit card with PayPass has stopped working for purchases. The card is active, have had messages saying the card is declined & cancelled. But I am still able to use eftpos. Can you please ensure the debit/credit card facility is active on my card.

How annoying @dndm!

From reading other posts on the forum, I believe you will need to speak with Bankwest over the phone to get this one sorted out, as this relates to your personal account.

You can phone 131719 between 8am-8pm local time.

Hi @Emma2904, we did have some customer reports of issues using EFTPOS/ATMs or when making online purchases earlier today. I can confirm that services do now appear to be returning to normal. We are monitoring this closely to ensure there are no further interruptions, and apologise for the inconvenience caused today.

This happens to both my own card and my husbands card at random. The funds are there but the card will be declined. Called Bankwest at one stage and was told it must be an issue with the website I was purchasing from, except it has happened at multiple places over the past few months. Oddly enough, not having access to my own money to buy groceries, without warning no less, is not an ideal situation.

Unfortunately I'm unable to view your accounts through the Forum to be able to investigate this further for you I'm sorry.
