Hi, I am currently overseas in Boston, US and my Bankwest Credit Card has a Credit Limit of $1000.(AUS). I will be travelling to Jameca tomorrow and have been advised that the Car hire company places a $1000.(US) hold for the car hire.
I am not able to increase the Credit limit online as this function is not available.
My question is, if i transfer a $1000(aus) into the card will that in effect allow me to use my Mastercard after the $1000(US) hold is placed on it?
Regards
Keith

Hi @keithm, you can definitely transfer additional funds to the credit card to bring your available balance above your credit limit. This will allow you to use the card while the $1000 USD authorisation only is in place. Hope this helps!
