Bankwest More World - LoungeKey: No Longer Unlimited Access

Hello,

I've been enjoying the unlimited LoungeKey access on my Bankwest More World Mastercard for a few years now.

However, in the April statement I just received, there is a note saying: "From 22 May 2019, there is a limit of 10 LoungeKey passes per calendar year for each More Rewards Card Account."

Can you please advise if the total of 10 passes includes the LoungeKey uses by supplementary card users, or is it 10 passes per Bankwest Mastercard account (i.e. if I had 1 supplementary cardholder, do they also get 10 passes in addition to the 10 passes by the main cardholder)?

Thanks

Hey @derek - to clarify it is 10 LoungeKey passes per account. For example, if you and your Additional Card Holder visited a Lounge, this would count as 2 passes, leaving you with 8. Thanks!

Thanks for the clarification, Danae.

However, that's a huge change from 'unlimited access' before. I've got to reconsider whether or not it's worth paying the annual fee now Smiley Sad

Sorry to hear you feel this way @derek - we definitely don't want to see you go and I have passed this on as feedback. Please let me know if there is anything further we can assist with.

I agree with Derek.

Now if I & my husband take just one overseas trip with a layover on the way, it will use up 8 of the 10 lounge passes.

For example:

Outbound flight:

Fly out of Sydney, 2 passes

Layover in Singapore, etc: 2 passes

Homebound flight:

Fly out from destination: 2 passes

Layover in Singapore, etc: 2 passes

Total passes used on 1 trip: 8, remaining passes for rest of year: Only 2.

+1

The lounge key access was a huge differentiator. Limiting it to just 10 visits greatly reduces the value of this card for me.

This is very unfortunate. I only kept this card for the loungekey access.

Unlimited LoungeKey Access to 10 passes per year is a huge decrease. What happened?! I applied for this card because of the Unlimited Access. ☹️
