Activate a credit or debit card

The easiest way to activate your card is via online banking.

    1. once you’ve logged in - select PINs & activate cards from the self service menu
    2. select the card number from the card to manage menu
    3. enter the expiry date printed on the card
    4. choose a new 4 digit PIN (if applicable)
    5. enter an SMS code to confirm your identity and you’re done

If you don’t have access to online banking please call 1300 796 844 and follow the prompts to activate your credit card. You’ll be asked to enter your full 16 digit card number and date of birth in the DDMMYYYY format.

If you’re an additional card holder, the primary card holder will need to activate their card first before you can activate your card.

At "some point" - most likely Smiley Happy

We're currently looking at different aspects of card management to see which are most important to our customers so our app team can fit it into our program of work. Card management can include things like activating cards like you've mentioned as well as locking your card, maybe even ordering a new one, and more.

We definitely use feedback we receive via social media, and we're also using the Forum, to give to our app team to understand what our customers are asking for. I've passed this directly to Justin for you.

Thanks @Eley
