Here's a great article by our very own Sinead Taylor, Executive General Manager Business Banking, about Australian business sucess in 2016. I've listed just three of many key insights from the article so I encourage you to set aside a few minutes to get all the details here.
Three takeouts
- Mid-sized businesses employ one quarter of Australian workers and contribute a similar percentage of all business revenues (ABS Catalogue 8155.0 – Australian Industry, 2013-14 (released 29 June 2015))
- Mid-sized businesses see productivity as a cornerstone of business strategy and not just a corporate buzzword. More than two in five mid-sized businesses intend to increase spending on productivity initiatives over the next 12 months, including staff training, adopting lean manufacturing to eliminate waste and appointing dedicated staff to review and improve systems and processes.
- Digital technology will be an integral component of mid-sized businesses’ productivity and innovation efforts – nearly half of mid-sized businesses are ‘digital believers’ and anticipate trends in digital technology or technology advancements will aid growth over the next 12 months

Yes we know some business customers have registered for the Forum but it's not necessarily their channel of choice when it comes to questions/support - many of them have relationship managers that care of things for them.
I am currently working with our small business team to develop a content and engagement strategy to get them more involved and finding the Forum a useful place to be. Our personal/retail customers have been our focus for the first few months and things are looking great.
